DEZANOVE is a private membership club for Praia 19 lovers, that offers a ride to/from central Lisbon and Praia 19 in Costa da Caparica – a beach famed as Europe’s largest and most beautiful gay beach​

We’re a members’ club on the move, blending convenience with community. Think of it as joining a like-minded coterie of beachgoers, all headed to the same sun-kissed destination in style.

Everyone craving a quality beach day is welcome. While DEZANOVE proudly centers LGBTQ+ travelers and friends, we also cater to local Lisboetas who appreciate the vibe. Praia 19 itself has a relaxed, inclusive atmosphere beloved by both locals and visitors​

Our aim is to foster an exclusive society feel that’s open to anyone sharing our ethos of respect, diversity, and love of a good beach. In short, it’s a club where the only membership fee is your ticket.

We currently offer two convenient pickup points in central Lisbon: Maria Food Hub in Arroios and The Late Birds Lisbon in Príncipe Real. These locations were chosen for their vibrant community atmosphere and accessibility.

Arrive a bit early and you can enjoy a coffee at Maria Food Hub (an eclectic café-bar known for its social vibe) or admire the garden at The Late Birds (Lisbon’s premier gay urban resort in a quiet corner of Bairro Alto) before we set off.

Both spots are well-known, so even newcomers to Lisbon can find them easily. Return drop-offs in the evening will be at the same locations.

Simple – we’ll designate a meet-up spot at Praia 19 (you’ll see our DEZANOVE flag where we park near the beach access).

At the agreed time (usually late afternoon), everyone hops back on board, pleasantly tired and sun-kissed. We’ll have chilled water and a place to shake off sand. Then it’s a smooth ride back to Lisbon, dropping off at Late Birds and Maria Food Hub. If you happen to snooze on the way back, we’ll gently wake you at your stop – think of it as a concierge service from beach to doorstep.

We recommend bringing your swim essentials (towel, sunscreen, beachwear – or not much beachwear at Praia 19’s clothing-optional sections!). Remember that Praia 19 has no shops or permanent bars on-site – its seclusion means no facilities for food or drink immediately on the beach.​

That’s why our member packages include beverages, and our premium options even include an umbrella and chairs so you don’t have to lug anything. Feel free to bring snacks or picnic items; a small cooler is fine on the bus. We’ll have some music and good conversation en route, and our host can offer tips.

Essentially, we provide the transport, shade, seating (if your ticket includes it), and a bit of community – you bring your personal beach gear and good vibes.

Reaching Praia 19 on your own can be a journey in itself – in fact, an adventure involving multiple legs. Public transit typically means taking a bus or ferry to Costa da Caparica, and that’s not mentioning the walk to Praia19 (it’s nature, gurl.)​

Driving is an option, but summer traffic over the 25 de Abril Bridge and finding parking near the beach can test anyone’s Zen.

DEZANOVE Beach Society was created to remove those hurdles. With us, you glide straight from Lisbon to the sand in one shot, no transfers, no parking woes. Plus, you travel in comfort with air-con, complimentary drinks, and fellow beach-bound companions – a far cry from standing in a bus queue or cramming into a ferry. It’s hassle-free and indulgent, the way a weekend escape should be.

For our launch, we’re focused on the scheduled trips, but we’re absolutely open to group inquiries. If you have a group of friends or an organization that wants a private shuttle experience, reach out to us via email or WhatsApp. We can discuss bespoke arrangements – from private charters to special add-ons (think themed music, onboard catering, etc.).

One of our goals is to grow DEZANOVE Beach Society in ways that serve the community, so partnerships and charters are welcome conversations.
